Statehouse Advocacy Day

Statehouse Advocacy Day

Tuesday, April 23, 2024 (3:00 PM - 4:30 PM) (EDT)

Description

Right now, Rhode Island politicians can pass laws that help Rhode Island families build generational wealth. Bills have been introduced by RIBBA's legislative champions that would provide retirement savings accounts to thousands and expand business development services to help minority small business owners. How do we ensure these bills become law? By advocating together!

Join RIBBA on Tuesday, April 23rd for our Statehouse Advocacy Day. We will meet at 3pm at RIBBA's Equity Hub, 220 Smith Street, Providence, RI. Following a short training, we will march right to the Statehouse. At the Statehouse, we will talk face to face with Senators and Representatives educating and urging them to support important bills.

Want more information before 4/23? Join the April Policy & Advocacy Meeting on Zoom from 5:30pm - 6:30pm Monday, April 15th! Click here to register.

We need our elected officials to care about helping Rhode Island families, our small business owners, and future generations of Rhode Islanders, no matter their skin color. Too often, it seems like they don't. However, when we unite as one loud, insistent, voice, those in power can't ignore the charge we lay on them. Join RIBBA for this great advocacy day and help push our politicians to close the racial wealth gap in Rhode Island!
